The Flag

Ichikawa city in Chiba Prefecture adopted its emblem: 22 February 1937. A stylized kanji Ichikawa 市川.
No flag legislation but they use the above flag in practice: flag proportion: 2:3; colour of field: purple; colour of emblem: white; diameter of emblem: 3/5 flag height.

The emblem is a stylised kanji ichi 市 (city) inside a the three lines of the kanji kawa 川 (river) forming a circle broken at the bottom.
