The city emblem was adopted on Nov 1st 2005 by Notice No 2 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue and a green two color city emblen in the center. The city emblem is a stylized ISE. The blue color and the green color symbolize a blue sky enclosing a forest of the Grand Shrine of Ise and Ise Plain, fresh streams of the rivers and abandunt Ise Bay. The letter S in the center represents an image of an active city which has a basic idea to realize a recycling-oriented city building plan.
