The city emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 1996 and the flag was adopted on Apr 1st 1983 by Notice No 27. The green flag has a white city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized kanji 生 I of Ikoma. It represents an image of the city which plants its feet firmly on a ground and is flying strongly.The flag proportion is 2:3.
