The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Jan 1st 2006 by Regulations No 1. The white flag has a red, a green and a blue three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana う U of Uda. The four flower petals and a bloom symbolizes a birth of the city by a merger of the former four towns and villages. The red color stands for a vigor, the green color for an abandunt nature and the blue color for a pure water. As a whole, it represents a future image of the attractive and vigorous city. The flag proportion is 2:3.
