The city emblem was adopted on Apr 1st 1957 and the flag was adopted on Dec 1st 1981 by Notice No 29. The maroon flag has a white city emblem in the center and the kanji name in white at lower hoist.
The city emblem is a stylized katakana タカダ Takada. The flag proportion is 2:3.
