The village emblem and the flag were adopted on Apr 1st 1972 by Notice No 8. The green flag has a white village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized hiragana やま Yama of Yamazoe. The vertical lines symbolize a development and a strongness and the horizontal lines do a peace and a tederness. The flag proportion is 2:3.
