The town emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 2005 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized i of Iinan. It represents an image of the town development in which Akagi and Tonbara former two towns cross their arms tightly to make a conformity and a solidarity in harmony with a nature and the people.

The flag of the former town of Tonbara was white with mark. The town is now, from 2005, part of the town of Iinan.
