The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Mar 21st 2006 by Notice No 1. The blue flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is stylized a and kanji 川 Kawa. The letter a symbolizes a youthfulness and the letter 川 reminds us of the origin of the town.
The flag proportion is 2: 3. The height of the emblem is 3/5 of the height of the flag.
