The town emblem was adopted on Dec 1st 1965 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana ヒ Hi of Hirokawa in a form of a flying bird. It represents the town’s peace, reconciliation, solidarity and an exponential development and an improvement of the industrial culture.
