The town emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 1955 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a maroon town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 苅 Kan of Kanda. The circle symbolizes a peaceful local community and the thick horizontal line does the town’s prosperity. It represents an image of a new town supported by the peoples concord.
