The city emblem was adopted on Feb 11th 2006 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green and an orange two color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana み Mi of Miyawaka in a form of a shining citizen. The three leaves symbolize a collaboration of the people, the nature and the industry or the citizen, the company and the administration. The green color stands for the rich nature and the orange color for the shining sun.
