The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Nov 11th 2010 by Notice No 149 and No 150. The white flag has a red city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a six (Mu) stylized kanji 大 O and 田 Ta. It represents the city’s natural local specialty coal.
The flag proportion is 2: 3. The height of the emblem is 2/3 height of the flag.
