The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Nov 1st 1975 by Notice No 49. The green flag has a red town emblem with a white fimbriation in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana ウミ Umi in a form of a bird’s wings. It represents the solidarity and the friendship of the town people who considers harmonized industry with nature and the image of the welfare town surrounded by beautiful green nature which makes a leap forward.
The flag proportion is 2: 3. The diameter of the emblem is 1/2 height of the flag.
