The town emblem was adopted on Dec 1st 2005 by Notice No 111 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue and a green two color town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized hiragana ひ Hi and kanji 川 Kawa in a form of a flying blue bird as a symbol of peace and happiness. The upward lines symbolize the town’s and the town people’s improvement and development.
