The village emblem was adopted on Aug 27th 1977 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized katakana ニNi of Nishihara. The curved line symbolizes the resident’s flexibility, the white space does the mountain, the hill and the pasture. As a whole, it represents the city’s reconciliation and the image of the leap forward.
