The town emblem was adopted in Nov 1962 but there is no flag law. The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana レイ Rei and kanji 北 Hoku. The circle symbolizes the town’s reconciliation and solidarity, the flying bird does the strong exponential development of the town administration.
