The town emblem was adopted on Feb 10th 1970 but there is no flag law. The yellow flag has a black town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana ユ Yu of Yunomae. The cut in the left part symbolizes River Kuma, the railway terminal station, a reconciliation, a solidarity and a development.
