Blazon: På svart grunn eit sølv vinsjestativ. In English: Sable a winch stand argent.
Approved by the government resolution (Regjeringens resoloution) of 4 July 1991.
The winch of this type (called "steinbukk" - a goat) is used locally for removal of large stones from soil, to make it apt for agriculture. It's three legs represent also the three previous municipalities of Nærbø, Varhaug and Ogna that joined into the current one in 1964.
