Blazon: I rødt tre gull angler, 2-1. In English: Gules three fish-hooks or.
Approved by the royal resolution of 24 July 1987 after a drawing by Jarle E. Henriksen. [c2j88]
The municipal web site explains that there are represented as bone hooks that were found in Kirkehellaren cave on the Sanna island, an archaeological site from the Stone Age. The symbolize importance of fishing for Træna in all ages. Three hooks are canting as the name Træna originates from a word meaning number "three".
