Blazon: I blått et sølv turbinhjul. In English: Azure a turbine wheel argent.
Approved by the royal resolution of 24 April 1987 after a drawing by Arvid Sveen from Vadsø. [c2j88] and http://www.sorfold.kommune.no/kommunevapenet
I guess this is an other example of a modern charge that managed to kreep in the verys strict Norwegian municipal heraldic system - no doubt because it is a type of a (medieval) water wheel and would be "understandable" to medieval "eye".
