The arms are Azure two chestnuts Or open Gules per fess and in chief three wind-cocks Argent and in base a water mill wheel Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "ZOIO".

Zoio Commune is one of the 32 communes of Bragança Municipality (q.v.); it had 203 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 21,18 km².
