About the Flag

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field.
Klaus-Michael Schneider, 19 Apr 2015

The communal flag [of Varada] is white and blue, gyronny. Surprisingly so for the communal seat is a village, not a city: The law says that entities seated in towns or villages must be either plain or quartered, never gyronny.
