It is a slightly untypical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain field quarterly divided of yellow and black (usually meaning town rank).

The arms are Sable, in centre a pillory Argent lined Sable flanked by a wheat ear Or (dexter) and an olive branch Argent fruited Or (sinister) . Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading "ZEBREIRA" in black upper case letters.

Presentation of Zebreira

Zebreira was one of the pre-2013 communes of Idanha-a-Nova Municipality. It had 873 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 103,56 km². In 1801 it had already 771 inhabitants and in 1834 it became even town and seat of a municipality. The commune was dissolved in 2013 and is now part of Zebreira e Segura Commune.
