Flag of Valjevo

The municipal flag of Valjevo, designed by Đorđe Stanojević, was adopted on 8 October 2010 (municipal website).
The flag is obviously meant for vertical hoisting, and it is the only example up to now of swallow-tailed shape in Serbian territorial vexillology.
The municipal arms and emblem are inspired by a relief from a tower built in the 19th century.
