Description of the Flag

The seal was created in 1975 by Lloyd Meadows. The scene is bisected with a Skint Chestnut tree, which is the original name for Douglasville. The plowed field with a farmstead is on the left and on the right is downtown Douglasville. This signifies our past as a farming community and the rise of a growing downtown. 1875 was the year we were incorporated. The blue and yellow/gold represent our colors.
