Description of the Flag

The NAVA image at www.nava.org/Flag%20Design/City%20Survey%202004/city_flag_photos/Newark.jpg and shown in the American Flag Survey (2004) and American City Flags (Purcell, 2003) shows a white flag ~11:17 with a wide dark blue bordor and the city coat of arms (as depicted in side the city seal) above a large scroll, all in golden and garnished in black, centered on the flag.

Newark is the county seat of Essex County and the largest city in the state of New Jersey.
