From section 19th of FAMSI report #97022 (in Spanish):
Lacam: bandera. estandarte. pendón. es tambien apellido. lacam.(This "lacam" in the Viana spelling, which followed (colonial) Spanish. In current ALMG spelling it would be "lakam".)
Both links above say that "Lakam" is also used as a surname, and the former mentions a flag-related military rank, ah lacam, which is translated as alférez.

I tried to find Mayan pictograms for "lakam", with unsatisfactory results and conflicting information: In this Virginia University document, two pictograms are listed and glossed, and illustrated in two pages of the same site:
