Eight-point star

As newly informed by Rodríguez (pers. comm.), the emblem of Novial is something like two superimposed quadrangles with inward curve edges of a light reddish hue, one of them symmetrical and standing on a side and the other, standing on a point, with the upper point clearly extended; the overlapping area is golden yellow. This emblem was usually set on a white background.

Incorrect report

The article [rod97] reports a seven pointed star on a «dark» background. The author of this source, Rodríguez, informed me later that this vague description was wrong.

Maybe the heptagon mentioned in [ial91a] is the source for this report?

Heptagon

In Panorama in interlingua 2/1991: p.16 “Ab le archivo” [ial91a] black and white symbols of constructed languages from «our archive» (probably the image sources as for [rod97]?), which I quote: (dates are probably language publishing, not symbol creation, judging from the Esperanto example): «Novial, 1928»: quite different from the other reported design: a regular starry heptagon (seven pointed star), with every third point colinear, ponting rightwards, outlined and superimposed on a similar, denser filled star (with common tip points but visible along the concave overlap spaces).
